34 ince its inception, Smoking Vapor (SV) has been a company laser-focused on the customer experience. This philosophy extends into everything we do, from the products we manufacture and the formulas we develop, to the service we provide and the environment within our retail outlets. SV was founded in 2008 by Amir Hakak. After moving to the US from Israel and feeling completely ostracized as a smoker, a friend who worked for one of the early E-Cig companies introduced him to the product. While reluctant, he was about to have his first child so he gave it a try. After 16 years as a heavy smoker, he switched solely to E-Cigs in only 3 weeks. It was an epiphany of what was possible and he discovered his true passion. Seeing the lack of focus on the flavors and the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction from any of the existing companies, he was determined to develop something he truly enjoyed and that would allow him to share this passion with others. SV was born. Over the past 6 years, we have had the unique opportunity to develop close relationships with passionate customers who are the most important ingredient in our business. SV has primarily been in the cig-a-like business and contrary to the majority of the market segment, we meticulously craft our products to meet and exceed our customers' desires. To make a wine analogy, if the majority of the cig-a-like products are 'box-wine', we are the meticulously crafted 'Opus One'. As such, our customers tend to be female, over 35 and have an expectation of high quality, and personal service. SV has gone to great lengths to help show that E-cigs can be as simple and as hassle free as buying a standard pack of combustible cigs. Whether it is online or in stores, we have found that closing this education gap and creating personal relationships with our customers is critical to the customers' long-term satisfaction and ultimately our success.
