Patrick V*: Let's start off with an ice-breaker. You may already know this, but the words "vape" and "binge-watch" became official words in the Oxford Dictionary on the exact same day (August 14, 2014). What is your favorite show to binge-watch? Phil: LOL! I'm afraid of series at this point. Anytime I get involved with a series they cancel it on me and never finish the story line. I'm really into cooking shows like Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen, and Master Chef. Also a huge Deadliest Catch fan (well before I came to know Matt Bradley) and South Park. Mythbusters is another personal fav! Patrick V*: Where were you born and where do you live now? Phil: I was born in Lodi, NJ. I moved to Rochester NY to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology and have been here ever since. Patrick V*: Do you think that your views on vaping are influenced by the area of the country you live in?, or would they be the same no matter where in the USA you resided? Phil: Personally, for me, I don't think so. If I lived in So Cal, I think I'd still be a rather conservative vaper enjoying items like my Kayfun, ProVari, and DNA powered devices. But it's not the only way I vape. I do enjoy a low resistance dripper from time to time, a mechanical, etc. I try to understand, appreciate, and respect how everyone vapes from the beginner to the seasoned pro. We all vape, we don't smoke. Patrick V*: Tell us about your career before embarking on your vaping-related endeavors. Phil: Before?? It's still my career. It's been quite the challenge to maintain my full time career and the enormous effort with all things vaping. I work as a Senior Systems Specialist in the telecommunications/ information technology space. My roles and responsibilities include the design, development, deployment and support of speech recognition grammars, system configuration and tests, user interface design, audio grammar, voice-over work, and technical documentation. Let's talk about my "hobby" before "embarking on my vaping-related endeavors". I was a DJ in nightclubs. I've always been an entertainer at heart. I LOVED DJing, but always said when it became a job for me and not something I loved to do, I would leave. One day that happened, so I left.
