When Nathan and I got word that the appoint- ment was over (mother and baby were doing well) we headed over to The Hollywood & High- land Mall to meet with Jason and Jay at Dave and Busters. Vaping already has one unwritten rule. When vapers meet, it is mandatory to give a brief show-and-tell on your vaping device. This meeting of vapers was no different. Both Mewes and West said they had recently migrated toward the eLeaf iStick with a Nautilus Mini tank. I was sporting my new Vapor Shark rDna 40 (given to me by Brandon Leidel himself – thank you Brandon) and Nathan went with the Prophet Mech Mod from Divine Mods (a gift from James Weaver – thank you James). Mewes is naturally funny and doesn't take him- self or the world too serious. I knew that by listen- ing to him on the podcasts and he is much the same way in person. But, it didn't take me long to understand that Mewes is very serious when it comes to vaping and his role in developing Mewes Juice. 00 PTV Have you put much thought into what your leadership style you might employ or will you just follow your instincts and trust that they will successfully lead you? JAY I will just follow my instincts and that along with my team we will make a great busi- ness and impact on the vaping world. PTV In your own words please tell my read- ers why you decided to launch an e-Liquid line? JAY Mewes Juice is important to me for several reasons. Obviously, vaping has had a positive efect on my personal life and I felt that the best way for me to encourage others to experience some of these benefts was for me to actually be involved within the vapor products industry itself and ofer a product that I was proud of and could stand behind. Vaping is clearly a healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes which have over 4,000 chemicals and at least 65 known carcin- ogens inside of them. Vaping is also better socially because even those who have never smoked can also enjoy the favor of the e-liquids since almost all favors have zero nicotine as an option. Vaping can also be helpful to people who are trying to remain sober because now you can gather with friends and have a sober birthday party or other celebration at a cofee shop or a vapor lounge. Maybe most importantly, I am about to be a father for the frst time, my little girl is on the way, so I have been thinking more about the importance of living a healthier lifestyle and how vital it will be for me to remain sober from drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. Not just so I am healthier and can do more things with my daughter, but also because of the example I will be setting for her. So for all of these reasons, and more, I wanted to do more than just endorse a product as a celebrity, I wanted to be involved with the development and actually put my name on each bottle of e-liquid so people could know my level of commitment to the products. For me, there aren't too many things I would rather do than to sit around and talk about vaping. I am weird like that.
